VES/Delta 1000 impresses attendees at DV Expo 2007 tradeshow in Los Angeles

December 2007 --

One of the surprise hits of the 2007 DV Expo West tradeshow recently held at the Los Angeles Convention Center was the VES/Delta 1000 workstation for Avid Media Composer and Avid Liquid.

Exhibited by, the exclusive North American distributor of the system, the newly developed VES/Delta video editing solution garnered more than its fair share of attention by show visitors.

The booth was literally swamped the entire two days of the tradeshow, as onlookers jockeyed for a live demo of this video editor's dream machine.

The VES/Delta 1000 is the first computer system designed from the chassis up to serve as a hardware platform for the acclaimed Avid family of software including Media Composer, Liquid, and Express. Every detail of the system has been manufactured to exceed the criteria of the software and to provide the Editor a "pain free" experience.

The workstation is sold as a complete, turn-key solution. All of the peripherals are included, such as two Samsung 22-inch digital widescreen video monitors, professional Edirol close field audio speakers, custom coded keyboard, and mouse/trackball. All of the software is factory installed & configured, perfectly!

The VES/Delta is a multiple drive system, and comes stock with four SATA II removable hard drives. An internal RAID 5 array is optional.

One of the most unique features of the VES/Delta 1000 is their revolutionary RED Disk restore kit. In the event of System Drive software corruption or infection, all the end user needs to do is to pop in a special DVD and allow the system to restore itself to the original factory installation. Everything is perfectly installed, configured, and pre-authorized/validated so that all the end user need do is to resume editing!

How powerful is the VES/Delta system? Most computers (at least those that real people can afford) can barely run Media Composer or Liquid. At the show, VideoEditSystems personnel were running not just Media Composer or Liquid -- but both applications simultaneously! And even with both programs open, rendering time on Liquid was instantaneous for 2D and 3D transitions on the timeline!

So how impressed were the attendees? Let's put it this way. Folks were lining up to get their deposits in for one of these workstations.
